Several days ago, a cart with a large crate was seen by glimpse transported through Duskwood by a human, a worgen and an elf. The same night, inhumane roars and the sounds of some very large beast were sound from the forests to the west from Darkshire. The local guards found no traces of anything the point they had gathered enough courage to investigate.

Rumor goes that contact was lost for a time to the outposts of the Alliance going into Stranglethorn. Apparently, a band of raiders had hit both Fort Livingston and the explorers camp further south, looting, burning and killing anything in their way.

The same rumor is soon overwhelmed by another where brave Alliance defenders utterly obliterated a marauding warband who dared to strike upon Darkshire. The band of raiders were reported to flee back into the wilds of Stranglethorn and have not be seen since.

Rumor is that Fort Livingston was attacked and badly damaged by fire.... again... on Friday evening by a Horde warband travelling through the jungle. Some of it guards and all civilians who fled to the jungle got out of it unscathed though, but were forced to watch their tiny plot of conquered land set ablaze

Unnecessarily long post:

Sailor Sam wrote:G'morning, Dave!
Dockworker Dave wrote:Oh, hey there Sam! Did you see where the crazy boat with the hat went last night?
Sailor Sam wrote:The senator's boat? It can't have gone anywhere, Dave, don't you remember it has no sails?

*Sam chuckles*
Dockworker Dave wrote:That's why it's so strange, Sam. Last night, just after the nightfall I saw the senator walk to the boat with that turban gnome and some pandaren woman, and then I turned my back for just a few moments, and suddenly the hat was gone and the boat took off, the sails full of wind — and I swear it wasn't even windy!
Sailor Sam wrote:*Sam looks down to the pier where the boat used to be as they get to the street overlooking the harbour and raises an eyebrow*

Huh... you weren't kidding. What on earth could make her leave after staying on the spot for more than five years?
Dockworker Dave wrote:Must be the invasion... now I know it has to be really bad out there!

*Dave laughs briefly, uncomfortably*

The first rays of the sun illuminate the chilly Stormwind Harbour, and a faint cock-a-doodle-doo can be heard from the farm in the northern parts of the city. Suddenly a black, fully armed battleship appears in the distance — yet it got surprisingly close without Dave and Sam noticing it in the dark. None of the guards around the harbour seem alerted by the strange looking ship, however. They must have been warned beforehand.

The ship slowly glides towards the old spot of the boat with the hat, and just before it docks on the pier, a faint bang echoes through the harbour. It wasn't loud enough to be an actual cannon, though. Sam, Dave and almost everyone else around set their eyes on the arriving battleship that just fired three confetti cannons simultaneously, filling the air around with sanguine confetti, looking almost as if blood was spilling into the skies before it flutters down into the water, surrounding the black ship with 'blood'.

Dave and Sam wrote:What the...
Dockworker Dave wrote:Well, I don't need to be no genius to know who that is.
Sailor Sam wrote:*Sam sighs slightly and takes out his spyglass, looking at the side of the ship*

"Seems it's called 'The Final Act'"

Rumour goes that a fleet of three Alliance ships - the Valgarde Fleet - have disappeared without a trace. The men and women on the fleet were supposed to rendezvous at Greywatch a week ago, yet all of them are now presumed deceased.

A lot of people in both Stormwind and Ironforge are speaking about the recent murders, and the rumours that hang about them. However, another bit of gossip can be heard around Stormwind, similar to the following tidbits:

Matron Nightingale have the kids doing bake sales, and helping move supplies to Stormwinds taverns. It's about time they did something useful...
Never trusted those orphans...they give me the creeps.
Have had to start boiling my well water...it tastes awful, and I don't want to get sick.

If anyone spent time yesterday evening around the canal fishermen in the Old Quarter, and has a keen ear, they may have heard some of the fisherman say something along the lines of this:

I told you already, I can't take these home, let alone sell them. Never caught this many bad ones before. Have to explain to the wife why I threw out an afternoons worth of catch.
Fish don't just go bad. Look, not all are ruined, just sell the few that are alright and toss the rest. No shame in eating bread alone.
Yeah, I wonder if anyone saw anything. Maybe those kids that were hanging around. Or the guards perhaps.

Stormwind, Late Evening of 18th October

A few residents of the Mage District reported seeing a shadowy figure, wearing a mask, all dressed in tight-fitting sable clothes.  He (assumed from his athletic build) was spotted scaling a wall and flitting across the roof tops of the district.   The guards were called but upon arrival there was no sign of this mysterious masked man.  So far this event appears to be a one off.   No other significant activities were reported in the district that night.

One drunk coming out of the Pig and Whistle tavern that same evening reported seeing a "blurry, dark figure moving across the skyline" of the Trade District, but his reports were uncollaborated.

With the attack of a Dreadlord on the Council around the same time, these events have been largely ignored as trivial.

Rumours are circulating around a certain strange set of activities taking place within the city. Trivial articles of clothing are disappearing from the houses of nobles, as well as from under their noses. While minor crimes, what is of particular interest is that a number of individuals (or so the rumours say) have been seen selling clothes of the highest quality to the cities beggars for a mere copper coin. No beggar in the city has been seen wearing such articles however.

A notable example, that may have reached your ear:
What you may have overheard wrote:
She sold him a fine dress for a mere copper. Perhaps she couldn't quite fit over her head, with those horns and all, but still! It was worth a gold at the least!

Anyone with a serious connection to the Venture CO, goblins in general, or just way to many subscriptions to various newspapers might find an article detailing an attack, supposedly by a warlock and/or dreadlord, on a digsite somewhere in Sholazar Basin, Northrend.

"Late night, the digsite of [REDACTED], Northrend, was attacked in what eyewitnesses described as "a manner that could only be fitting for the Legion's true goal with their invasion of Azeroth"*. Another one-eyed eyewitness describes the event more closely: "Some type of wizard guy appeared in the middle of the camp, shouting incomprehensibly, obviously in Demonic, and a large winged fiend sprung from his hands, spouting fel fire all over the place". The eyewitness continues: "As I am a total wuss, I ran away with my hands in the air, crying and shouting"**. Consensus among the eyewitnesses is that it was clearly a Dreadlord, looking to kidnap Foreman [REDACTED]'s workforce for some nefarious evil deed. Clearly rumors of the good quality of The Venture CO's work has reached as far as the Legion. Only due to the stalwart hearts and ingenuity of Goblins, and the valiant and noble sacrifice of at least three Ogre bodyguards, would the demonic beast eventually realize it had taken too big of a bite to swallow, and retreated along with its summoner in some hellish contraption.

Regrettably, the digsite was utterly destroyed in the Fel Fire fueled inferno that followed, resulting, of course, in huge losses for the company. Foreman [REDACTED] is now being questioned for negligence, as well as drug tested***. Survivors has been psychologically evaluated, and deemed fit for service, and more importantly, profit. The TVC Official lawyer firm S.C.A.P.E.G.O.A.T.**** will most likely be pushing charges on the foreman in an upcoming trial, scheduled to take place on [REDACTED].

In other and completely unrelated news, Ogre Bodyguards***** are now in high demand, talk to your employment office now to become a part of the TVC Family!

* Reworded for clarity by the chief editor.
** Reworded for clarity by a paying customer.
*** In accordance with TVC Handbook, page 476, paragraph 48.4.7.
**** Just a friendly reminder, the lawyer firm was cleared of all suspicions of nepotism in the trial of [REDACTED]."
***** Following last years lawsuit, we are now forced to accept any and all races, as long as they measure up to our B.I.G.N.S.C.A.R.Y. standards.

Signed, Journo. J. Hackzy, journalist at The Venture CO Weekly Newspaper, The Venture YOU."

Rumours from Duskwood tell of what looks to be a Dark Rider killing any who comes near him, all while yelling out "Begon demon scums". The oddest part, they say, is that he seems to wear a badge and a filthy tabard with the mark of the Argent Crusade.

Following the Horde Forces' defeat at the bridge between Plaguelands, Alliance scouts report a huge, covered shipment 'popping' through a summoning ritual to Caer Darrow. While unloading the cargo, the cover is lifted for a time, to make room for the fact: The Horde just brought in a pile of explosives to the playground.

[Assuming we are acknowledging Argus now that it's in the sky for every level 110 character.]

Lady Gaudy Galleon was seen departing from the Stormwind Harbour only a couple of hours after the fel planet appeared in the sky. Plenty of crates were loaded on the boat by dozens of dockworkers, and a fairly strong magical presence may have been sensed there for a few moments.

Bruuk's Corner, a busy evening in the ever so bustling city of Ironforge. From what can be overheard between the shouts and cheers, a discussion takes place amongst three dwarves regarding current events in politics, of which the third is clad in dark robes and a cowl which combined hides the features.

Dwarf 1: Now tell me, is it as bad as they say?

Dwarf 2: Ye mean about Senate 'n' Council?

Dwarf 1: Aye, did they really say he was found innocent? A letter sent accusing our leaders of treason, an' the feller goes free?

Dwarf 3: That they did, lads. I was there during the trial, that defender went all cuckoo seemingly, talked about stolen chickens and whatnot fishmen that live abroad. Thing was, it worked enough for the judge to buy it, apparently, so the sod walked free.

The gathered dwarves cause a ruckus when hearing this, guards arrive to restore order to the establishment. As things quiet down, the dwarves resume their conversation once more.

Dwarf 1: Do ye mean the Senate is going tae stand for that?

Dwarf 2: Tae let a pack of filthy slime-spitting humans get away dishonouring the leaders WE elected? Fat chance o' that!

Dwarf 3: Something is already stirring lads, seems even our Mountain Kings are getting upset by this matter. One of them went to their last gathering and gave them an earful, after they had spat out further insults toward the Senate.

Some dwarves nearby that overheard the conversation shouted out: Good! Give them a whatfor while at it as well!

Dwarf 3: Quiet down, will you? Else the guards come and interrupt us again!

The crowd begin to calm down, if ever so little.

Dwarf 1: What can we do then, if not voice our complaints?

Dwarf 2: Aye, we've tried tae go th' legal way, voicing complaints an' going through a trial. If the laws dinnae work tae hinder such crooks, what will?

Dwarf 3: Patience, lads...

Dwarf 1 & 2: Patience?! We've been waiting over four months already for an end tae this nonsense! We want tae see blood! We wish tae see heads roll!

Dwarf 3: The last act has yet to play out in this event. I do not wish to see bloodshed, else all our plans will be ruined! We are still far from done when it comes to dealing with dogs who accuse our kin of being traitors to the Union of Three Hammers and the Alliance.

Dwarf 1: I hope ye are right.

Dwarf 2: Reminds me, how are things going with th' lady they sent? Any progress with her?[/i]

Dwarf 3: So far, no. We are, however, just in the beginning of the next act. More will come when the time is right. For now, return to your duties. In due time, things will develop as we see fit.

The dwarves walk away in separate directions, and the third dwarf goes through part of the plan in thoughts while walking through the Hall of Arms.

Dwarf 3: The word will spread to Stormwind, no doubt. There is always someone that will talk to someone outside the group.

Just as the dwarf enters the Commons and is about to disappear among the crowd of citizens and merchants, the robed figure mutters: Don't mess with a dwarf, because it'll bring down the Mountain upon you.
