[A] Civilian community concept!

Post by Eldiros on Tue Jun 17, 2014 5:16 am

Hello, people of Defias!
Recently, the idea of extending the Community of roleplayers to more places than just Stormwind has been an ever present thought in my mind. This is a concept to mayhaps develop a smaller Community of mainly Citizen RP around the Deadwind/Duskwood region. it involved a lot of travel in Communications between the two places, though that is only possitive in my mind. as a few Guilds have been starting to be Active around there as well; rangers, my own Academy Guild, and I hear, a few other people.
I'd very much like to see a structure of a society being developed around these places, and one that is based more from scratch than most, featuring not just one Guild to represent it all, but rather the presence of different factions in an everyday Life. The interest I am looking for is the following:

- potential Citizen RPers who would like to roleplay living in a rather mysterious and dangerous enviroment (most likely in Darkshire, as the village in karazhan only has an abandonned intact house and a Chapel.)

- (Guild request) a priest who might recide in the Chapel at Deadwind, who might serve as the castle healer in the Academy (while not neccesarily join the Guild, if one doesnt really want to) and who might preach to passing Citizens in the are but also the students of magic (outragious as it sounds, I like what the concept offers.)

- local guards of the areas, depending on what will be inhabitated, if anything at all.

This is merely an idea I am throwing out for some evaluation. as I RP in those regions much myself, I'd be more than happy to help organize this if people are interested. Thanks for the time, guys!

It appears the promise of gold and justice have already lured the Band of the Brave to navigate the area.

I'd be glad to get some more RP in Duskwood going again - I loved the older Duskwood Hub before. I'll definitely run some rp to make that area Greyclaws home, once again - she used to take up residence in the Grove dues to its high druidic potential and representation of a physical link to the Emerald Dream.

what I mean by that is that it would incorporate into it as there is a Guild stationed there. Not that it ought to be populated into some Town, though I will give you that it sort of sounds that way, my bad.

I'll gladly try to be a priest in Darkshire, as my priestly character's actually from there. However, mains always take prio.

I like it. Not sure how I'll be involved just yet, but I will be.

If I'd ever RP in Duskwood for a longer time, I'd have to use FreeFarSight just to be able to stand the atmosphere (ie, change the color of the skybox and the fog and such to a more pleasant one).

It's always dark and honestly quite dull.

Being dark is sort of the point of Duskwood. xD

The Alliance Intelligence Agency could be a part of this concept. If there would be rumors of criminal activities, we'd have our best investigators there immediately! Playing the roles as the local investigators and law enforcers could be nice!

I am sure GREASES could have a look round duskwood, perhaps some artifacts may lay there...

The Band of the Brave has arrived in Duskwood, to settle down in Darkshire for the time being.

Remember - Bring your high level characters with transmogged gear. Duskwood is contested territory, and if there are role-players there for an extended period of time the world pvp guilds will come looking for a fight.

Low level characters are "retard bait", attracting gankers that swoop in just to get that easy kill. Let's try and not give them any.

for any of you who are potentially interested in this, I would ask that you Contact me in-game about what you wish to make, and I can try to help getting an organization together and a structure.  Smile
