The Story of Commodore Tyrdenstorm (Will be updated eventually.)

Post by Arcolon on Wed Aug 21, 2013 2:11 pm

The wind was blowing heavily in this port, the wind always blew hard here when it first blew. The ships sails made a lot of sound in this weather, this all grey weather, like a storm that was brewing up. Most people in Booty Bay kept inside now, waiting for it to erupt and pour down. But one man, Taku Tyrdenstorm stood high on port, looking at his newly bought ship. The Wicked Lass stood prideful in this wind, it’s sails flew marvellously and Taku even had a crew with it. This reckless, twenty year old boy, was now ready for the sea. He stepped aboard the ship where his crew waited for him, they were cheap, poor workers. But even so, how this Tyrdenstorm had gotten the money to buy a ship, no one understood. The rumours behind it were that he had stolen it, or even worse. Killed for it. None of them were true though, the truth was hidden, from everyone. If people respected him and wanted to be in his crew because of this unknown thing, he wouldn’t dare to let people know the real reason behind it. Taku, had a crew, a ship. Everything he had always wanted. And now, they were setting sail, sail for the unknown. They had no destination, they were just sailing. Sailing the wonders of the world. The crew seemed to have a liking of their reckless young captain, he was down with the crew at all times, working on deck with them, making sure everything went smooth. When Taku came back to Booty Bay later that same year, he had seen the world, every coastline, every port. He had seen what was important for him. He made sure his crew was well paid for it and they soon knew that this was what they could do. They could live of the sea, all of them. And Captain Tyrdenstorm completely agreed. They all now called themselves pirates. Taku had learned how to fight with both sword and pistol by his father, who was a great sailor, but had died at sea. And he kept training on what his father had taught him, he had too. He had to be the best.

When they next set sail, they all knew that, now. They were going to plunder another ship, and take their goods, their money. Their everything. The only thing that they did not think about was this. They had no idea how to separate a naval ship from a trading ship. And it all ended terribly bad at sea. They charged at a naval ship, splintering up its starboard side. And it wasn’t long before the naval ship answered, with more powerful cannons, they shot right through the Wicked Lass, and it were they who boarded the pirates, not the other way around. And they slaughtered their way through the Captain’s crew. Of course they did, his crew was old and tired. They were nothing. Nothing at all. When Captain Tyrdenstorm saw this, he left the ship, and swam all the way to a tiny island. Which in truth were not far away from the battle, so now only Taku Tyrdenstorm watched as his ship and crew went to the bottom of the sea. He waited on that island, he knew it was a common trading route, and he had not waited for long to be saved. He came back to Booty Bay, twenty-one years old, all broken. He had no ship, no friends. No money. His Wicked Lass was gone. Gone, gone, gone. All gone. His beloved ship, his crew and friends. Even if his crew was weak and old, they were great companions who had great tales to tell, and Taku loved their tales so.

Mr. Tyrdenstorm stood just outside the Salty Sailor Tavern, in the rain, pouring down at his face. When he knew, he had to do anything, to get a new ship. This time, he’d really murder someone for it. He would. He had to, his life at sea was not done. It had only begun, he could feel it. It was in the rain, it were in the splashes of the sea. The sea called for him, to find a new ship and crew, to travel once more. On his beloved sea. The sea and he were one. He knew it, he knew it now. So very well.
Too be continued.

Young captain, interesting story. Pirates are an always interesting read about. To bad for his ship and first crew, but he lived to see another day. I shall await for the next chapter, to see what is brought with the new sunrise.

Tyrdenstorm worked for anyone and everything. He had to get the money to buy himself a new ship, he ventured with many a ship, for trade, a mercenary, anything. All that he knew was that this little pay, would make all up for it one day. Taku had become a lot more unfriendly with the time however, the loss of his first ship and crew had taken his friendly image away. He was now, more grim than ever. The whole Bay knew about his incident, and so did the other cities he had now visited with the trading ships, such as Ratchet and Gadgetzan. He heard people calling him the “Beggar Captain” now. But he’d show them, he’d show them all. What this beggar captain could do! Just hard work would do. And hard work had been done, and would be done. “This time, I’ll be the best of the best.” Tyrdenstom thought for himself.

Seven years passed, with work on different crews, ships, for different captains, all different all the time. But now, Mr. Tyrdenstorm, or rather. Captain Tyrdenstorm, had gotten himself the money to buy a ship and crew again. The captain and the crew sailed under the ship of “The Willy Singer”, it was a stupid name for a ship, but Taku knew he wasn’t as funny anymore. So he liked the contrasts of something incredibly silly and his seriousness. The captain and his first mate sat in the Salty Sailor Tavern and drunk their mugs of rum. Eying their crew, the only reason Tyrdenstorm named the slob next to him first mate was because of the very fact that he looked intimidating, which he felt like he needed on this ship of jolly people. He needed someone to keep it all in control. “Alrigh’, Whi’etower, I thin’ we shoul’ take a leave fer Theramere, an’ see if thar’ be any tradin’ ships on our way thar’. Plunder them lads an’ make sail back ‘ere.” The captain paused. “So make sure tha’ cook brin’s enough food fer a month a’ sea. Savvy? No’ the’. Ga’her tha’ men an’ ‘ave’m make tha’ ship sailsready!” the first mate rose nodded short, “Aye, aye. Cap’n!” he moved towards the crew in the tavern, yelling out. “Alrigh’ ye landlubbers. Get yer feet onto tae Willy an’ start preparin’ fer the wide wonders ye thin’ will be a child’s play! An’ be prepared tae be there fer a month’s time! ‘Elp the cook tae stock up on the needed supplies!” Everyone rose to their feet and moved to work at once. There were at least good discipline among the lot, they’ll have that. Taku chugged the rest of his mug, moving slowly towards his new ship. The ship was a lot poorer that his former, but he figured that as the only things needed fixing were on the inside, the crew could work on it while being at sea. The ship had four cannons, two on each side of the deck. On the lower deck, there was a cabin for the cook, and a bunch of hammocks for the crew.  The Captain’s cabin was on deck, with a big and fancy door. Inside were very little, a big and rather comfortable bed, a writing desk and a chair. And of course the big, grand windows to look at the sea. The steering wheel was on the cabin’s roof, with stairs on each side of the cabin. This was the outlook of the ship. The two sails stood firmly at their mast, they weren’t the biggest sails. But they would do their job.

At the ship, everyone were readying the ships departure, but Taku stopped them midways, having them all gather up in a line. “Alrigh’ gentlemen. Befer we take our leave. I wan’ ye tae figh’ each other an’ sho’ me yer figh’in’ skills. As we are goin’ tae plunder a ship or two. So, pair ye ladies up an’ figh’! Anythin’ be allowe’, anythin’. Jus’ dun’ feckin’ kill eachother.” And everyone did so, they paired up and fought each other. No one was particularly good, but even so. The captain got his eyes on one man, who did rather well. He finished his sparring partner without as much as a scratch, while his partner lay on deck, with a broken nose. The victorious one had slammed the swords out his hands, dropping his own, swiftly pulling a hit right at his nose. The crew would suffice. Tyrdenstorm gave his first mate, Whitetower the command and went into his cabin, he sat down by his desk and started to write a journal for himself. “We are now leaving on our first trip out of the Bay. We’re going to stay on sea until we’ve got ourselves a good plunder.” Taku dipped the pen into more ink, licking his lips while he thought through what he were to wrote. “I still miss my crew of the Wicked Lass as they made a god company. But these ones here, after a bit of training. They’ll be the best fighters I’ve seen. I just got to make sure that they’ll be just as good sailors as that.” When the captain came out on deck again, the ship had come far out on the sea already.  On their way towards Theramore. Captain Tyrdenstorm could feel it. The wind in the sails had changed. His luck had changed. This time, it all would be better. He’d be able to reign over the ocean. He walked up to the steering wheel and took his position, leading the ship on their way. Making a rather ugly grin, “Hoist the colours, m’lads. Ship in sight!”
To Be Continued.

… A big part of the story has been ripped out of the book.

Captain Tyrdenstorm stood once more underneath Booty Bay’s moonshine. Looking for a crew, his ship and crew had disappeared underneath the deep oceans once more. The battle was terrifying and great. And he hated it with every ounce of his heart. He couldn’t bear the thought of having to search for yet another crew, on his newly bought ship, “The Damned Pearl” he called it, not that it looked it. It wasn’t damned at all, it was simply all for show. The ship was in fact very clean, compared to most ships owned by a pirate.

… A big part of the story has been ripped out of the book.

Tyrdenstorm had docked in Stormwind. searching for a First Mate and a crew. But he needed a first mate, first of all. He looked everywhere he could think possible, Stormwind was not his city. He did not know anything there, he simply looked for what he needed. A First Mate and a crew. He searched for a long time but he soon found both a First Mate and someone who would soon become the Quartermaster of his crew. Megan Argentine and Joseph Winslyn. He also got several members who seemed to join and fall off the crew rather swiftly, most couldn’t take the heat of the captain who had newly turned into a less gentle man. He did not turn any better with time either, only for the worse.

Captain Tyrdenstorm and his crew planned a scheme that would give them a name in Stormwind. The scheme itself failed, but it turned them into wanted men, for how long, is unknown. They attempted to blow up the Stormwind Cathedral, and they almost succeeded. But they were met with too great force at the Cathedral’s exit. They had to fight themselves out to even get away alive. Most got away safely and one or two were jailed.

… A Part of the story has been ripped out of the book.

Another crew seems to have risen in Stormwind, competition for Tyrdenstorm and his crew. The Kings Bane was the ship’s name. Under the captain of some Winters. Tyrdenstorm despised the man, for being what he was. None the less, Tyrdenstorm despised competition, everyone who attempted to go against him, or be in his way. They would all suffer needlessly.

… A part of the story has been ripped out of the book.

Tyrdenstorm and Winters had their encounters of pain and battles, most of their battles consisted of words being slung at one another. The crews had their differences after all, but the only one Tyrdenstorm wanted rid of, was Winters. Winters who owned the opposing crew, with him gone: He could take the power that he wanted, and create the fleet that he wanted.

… A tiny part of the story has been ripped out of the book.

Winters were cast off on an isle by his crew, promoting Rigatus “Riggy” to Captain. This was Tyrdenstorm’s chance of uniting the two under one fleet. Tyrdenstorm, his First Mate and Quartermaster went to Captain Rigatus and stroke a deal, The Kings Bane would sail under Trydenstorm, but as themselves, under Rigatus as their captain, simply having Taku Tyrdenstorm over there again, as their Commodore. This was how Captain Tyrdenstore became Commodore Tyrdenstorm. This opened for a greater way of cooperation, smuggling operations and events of piracy.

Though that could not last forever as Win-

… A part of the story has been ripped out of the book.

Winters had gotten most of the King’s Bane’s crew in an uproar. A mutiny, magically as it was their doing to cast him away. But this had created a great problem for Commodore Tyrdenstorm, who had been Commodore just for a few slight months. He did not have the power to fight this mutiny. Not that he got to know much of it either, until it was too late. As he were on the sea, with a completely different crew. His own crew was in Booty Bay, awaiting his return, which came a little too late. All hope for victory had been lost as Commodore Tyrdenstorm returned with his new ship, “The Black Countess”. His face had turned scarred, and the crew never showed itself.

… A tiny part of the story has been ripped out of the book.

Commodore Tyrdenstorm had grown as cold as to simply leave the crew that he lead, The Damned Pearl’s crew alone as he once more left for the oceans with The Black Countess. The crew of skeleton men, dead men. The Same men that had died on his two first crews. The very same men had rested underneath the oceans, waiting for his return to pick them up. It had turned Tyrdenstorm into the grim, cold bastard as he was.

He figured that Megan Argentine and Joseph Winslyn had deserved his old ship, leaving them behind. Caring only about his invincible crew of skeletons. Nothing could stop them, not even him. How do you think he got those scars? He left the conflict with Winters and the King’s Bane, left the title of Commodore behind and turned into the simple, feared captain of the Black Countess. Roaming the seas, creating chaos for every tradesman there were out on the oceans. For a long, long time. People heard of this in every sea-towns. But then, they stopped hearing about the attacks, stopped hearing of the fearsome Captain Tyrdenstorm. Where had he gone, if not dead? Had he sailed for the world’s end?

The end.

Signed in blood by;
Taku Tyrdenstorm
Captain of the Black Countess.
You better be afraid.

Captain Taku Tyrdenstorm himself has written this book. Giving everyone the warning of being afraid. What is he plotting?

Thank you for reading the story! Sorry for the late update!
