(A/RP) The Frozen Covenant.

Immortality; years have passed since Kel'thuzad's disciples embarked upon their conquest to achieve that one goal.

Through acknowledgment, resolve and absolute loyalty, the Cult of the Damned were granted a Kingdom to exist amidst and rule as they saw fit. Where once they lay oppressed, the orphaned children of the damned tore away the shackles imposed upon them by the world of men and forged an ideal society free of their previous confinements. The vision they sought and achieved was not only to transcend death, but to mete out an existence reflecting unity, prosperity and perfection.

It is true that the Cult faces countless trials that would threaten its presence, but never again will these men and women submit to the false ideologies of the mortal world; its dogmas, short-sightedness and mandating inferiority shall not cast its veil upon the Cult. Nay! Power, totality and transcendence; such is what the will of their Master dictates and His will is but a inevitable, physical and spiritual manifestation leading only to fulfillment.

Though the enemies of the Cult would deem its tools as deplorable and heinous, their perception does not reach far beyond their blinding fog of morality. Necromancy has been naught but an ever-improving power to harness the cold embrace of death and grant immortality to its practitioner, and immeasurable wrath to exact upon one's foes. Ironic it is, that most of the living claim to seek salvation and yet they choose not to sway from the very frail shell that brings about their ultimate demise.

And now, a lingering shadow spreads its tendrils to every corner of the mortal realm; seeking visionary men and women whom would heed the whispers of the damned. They too shall rise above the oppression and ignorance of men; they too shall transcend the mortal weaknesses of flesh to exist in supremacy! As rightful rulers, their lands will bend to their every commandment until one fact remains certain - the Master's will shall be done!

Whom we are:
Previously known as "Army of the Damned", The Frozen Covenant is an established Cult Role-Playing Guild that is inspired and driven by the lore revolving around the "Cult of the Damned"; the willing living servants of the original Scourge led by Ner'Zhul/Arthas, following the philosophy taught by the Cult's founder, Kel'thuzad.

What we offer:
We offer a lawful evil organization where we aim to present a grim, twisted way of life and religion tailored towards the existence of the Cult of the Damned and a decent standard of role-play regarding cultism and the interests, conflicts and effects it presents.

What our role-play offers includes but is not limited to:
1) A Dark Philosophy: during our time, we have adapted what we know from the lore regarding the philosophy the Cult follows, built upon it, and implemented it into our role-play. Thus we offer a set of grim, twisted but yet self-righteous doctrines and ideals that would allow for a grey atmosphere to RP within, and thus provide internal and external conflicts for characters as they develop within our way of existence.

2) The Dark Magical Arts: a prominent theme of the Cult is the dark, horrific magic it studies and delves into. We attempt to teach and implement such amoral magical practices and study, from which RP both casual and planned can be generated. We attempt to offer this theme in a very grim, serious and realistic manner; taking into consideration the complexity of magic, and the effects/consequences it would provide.

3) Evil vs. Goodness: being a Cult with malicious intent, we would certainly offer conflict against those whom would oppose our cause. Whether it is an all-out battle, corruption of individuals to sway into our fold, or subterfuge and sabotage - you can rest assured that you will have your share amount of evil acts to commit.

4) Cultism: one of the most important aspects we try to offer is the "cultist life"; that your character leads two lives that conflict with each other. ICly, we are individuals whom simply sought the philosophy the Cult of the Damned offered, and thus, we retain our previous lives - disguising ourselves as normal citizens, and spending our IC days normally among others while having a secret agenda and following a certain dark philosophy. Thus you will be encouraged to RP amongst others with your "discrete demeanor".

IC Organization:
Based upon the lore, there is no clear hierarchy or structure to how the Cult is organized; the apparent chaos serves the purpose of protecting the Cult's operations. And such a manner of organization is implemented within our guild, where members undergo only two ranks to prove their worth - Acolyte and Dark Adept - and then choose which role to undertake in their RP, where each is equal in ranking to the other:

Necromancer - death is power, and Necromancers indulge upon this power to no restraint. Preaching their ideals and the will of their Master zealously, Necromancers twist their knowledge of the arcane to raise legions of undead to bolster their forces, channel unholy energies to "heal" their allies, or rain doom upon their enemies through vile dark magic - only to dominate in the name of the Cult.

Blightweaver - nothing is as certain as death, and it is this very certainty that Blightweavers exploit at their behest. Agile, deceptive and lethal - these insidious men and women are responsible for the dispatching of the poisonous, festering diseases and plagues which terrorizes the living and shatters their foundation. As assassins, they work together with their comrades to brew the vile tools which ensures that death is delivered in the most horrendous form before they slip past enemy lines and plant them.

Darkcaster - exploiting their vast knowledge of Shadow Magic, these dark magi draw upon their power to inflict harmful pain upon the Cult's enemies; mental or physical. They are the shadowy inquisitors of the Cult, channelling their magic to mete out the Cult's agenda in whatever means they could; from manipulation to torture and direct confrontations.

Blackguard - individuality is a flaw of nature, and it is for this reason that the Blackguards exist: to ensure that everything runs in accordance to the Master's will. These physical enforcers preserve the rightful order of things, where any potential threat within and outside of the Cult is dealt with mercilessly. Applying whatever little knowledge of dark magic they retain, they would power their strikes and aid their allies to whatever end until fully ascending into what every other cultist desires; immortality.

Apart from these roles, there is an additional rank present for those ambitious, which constitutes the officers whom will be leading the guild and planning events. ICly they are experienced notable members whom would be responsible for managing the Cult operations while offering guidance and direction when required and yet equally working alongside other members.

Rules of Membership:
As long as one respects and follows all the general rules regarding RP and the game itself, maintains a respectful attitude with others, and has a viable IC reason to seek out our guild and join us - without crossing over any lore boundaries - then he or she is welcome to join! Additionally, one must not actually join our guild to join us ICly; we resemble a way of life, and it is open to anyone who wishes to follow it!

Haha, well I would but I myself always forget to take screenshots! Next time hopefully Very Happy And aye indeed, it was really fun ^^

And @ Vaell, thats a shame Sad However! You don't have to fully OOCly join. For example, any character who would slightly be interested in the Cult and their ideals could travel north and ponder about it, and like develop this second anonymous side to their character which nobody will know about it. Like you would sometimes travel north when nobody knows and interact with us as you gain this new side, etc etc^^

That adds more to the cultist theme even! We have some members like that, and soon we will sort of give out anonymous IC invitations to grab those whom would be interested and could develop their mindset into this theme.

So if you would have a character which could be curious enough to learn about us, you could come along and discover if he can be influenced us! If it doesn't work out, it's still no problem since any RP is welcome! And we'd let you walk away. But of course you might umm.. be convicted of being sacrilegous and the living dead will try to hunt you down xD

But nah, we're reasonable and don't like forcing RP unto others, so if you would discover your character does not fit the bill, we'd let you yet walk away. We'll be glad for any RP we can get anyways^^

I've been meaning to post some of our IC ideas for a while, but I have recently been busy thus progress has been slow. But the introduction is complete, and I hope it's a nice read^^ Here goes.

Saying this just to state where I get my information and references from. And of course, any quotes I place is to be taken OOCly unless I directly link to it in the text. ))

To Walk the Path of the Damned

Foolishly you have sought your own demise. Brazenly you have disregarded powers beyond your understanding. You have fought hard to invade the realm of the harvester. Now there is only one way out — to walk the lonely path of the damned.

What must be acknowledged is that all beings - the mighty and the weak, the righteous and the wicked, the seasoned and the young – will eventually partake in this inevitable journey, for it is upon this path that one outcome remains certain; the fulfillment of the Lich King’s will.

Understand this: the Master’s will is not bound to any set of virtues; it is not confined or discernible to what any being musters nor is it susceptible to causes and effects. Decisive and resolute, that is the embodiment of the Master’s will.

Unlike any form of religion or belief the beings of this mortal realm uphold, the Master’s will and ideals is not based upon any collection of rules or practices; it is not bound to a manner of “faith” or “spirituality” that one must act upon in order to fully embrace it.

His judgment is set in stone, coming to pass as a definite manifestation with or without the acceptance of any party.

The will of a god or a divine being is not dependent upon the mere actions of mortals; whether it is faith, belief, worship or any other prescribed act which they exact in order to mete out the power and will of whom they serve.

Yet we find races split by their servitude to different gods, kings, beasts, interpretations of divine beings or powers they uphold and many more cultural differences. How is it then that these forms of existences coexist together while each alone yet plead to be the rightful salvation and guidance in this life? Because everything is set upon a premise; everything is based upon a certain way of living one’s life through various means which can be met or rejected – and it is through this free decision; this existent choice, which invalidates these manners of belief and ways of living one’s existence to be false and defined as “dogma”.

The Master’s will is one. His voice unifying those whom see the truth and elevating them to unspeakable heights. It is not based upon a certain premise or prescribed teachings or acts but an inevitable judgment that comes to pass; an existent manifestation that can only be acknowledged, needing not to be instilled with “faith” or any practice.

In fact, the doctrines of the Scourge only seek to identify the flaws of any other dogma and empower one’s being in order to see its aspirants fit to be one with the will of the Master.

Lordaeron for example, signifies the first Black Dawn; the fulfillment of the first will decreed by the Lich King – its destruction. It did not mete out this judgment through an army or basis of acts, but mere knowledge conjured by no one but the Master. The moment He passed his command, Lordaeron’s fate was sealed; it did not matter who opposed Him, everyone’s outcome remained the same: servitude to the Lich King. But there were those whom peered upon the truth and sought to harness it, respectively embracing the will of the Master rather than being condemned to it – those individuals earned a state of perfection and totality through only embracing His will. Those whom denied His will, yet served Him through condemnation; the atonement to sacrilege.

It is through these facts that we conclude that the Master’s will is unwavering and definite, existent only to come to pass. Thus void of any standard or cause, there is only acknowledgment of this indisputable certainty; to embrace the will of the Master or be condemned to it.

And if His will is inevitable, being fulfilled through the path of the damned, then doubtlessly every being shall step foot upon this road. The question is, how will you tread upon it?
