Apexis Crystal Frequency Relay

With the A.V.R. in operation the need to boost the range of each unit was imperitive. A single A.V.R. device was re-modelled into the first Apexis Crystal Frequency Relay and then subsequently housed into the roof of the Westfall lighthouse for testing. Si:7 R&D deemened the tests a success and went ahead with the first production run. 13 A.C.F.R. have been placed across the Eastern Kingdoms with 2 modified variations of the relays placed within Stormwind and Ironforge.

A single relay is made from a pre-syncronised Apexis Crystal encased within a Titansteel outer-casing for strength and durability, all standing about 6" tall. The signal range of a singular relay is dependant on its environment, field tests have proven that in subterainum locations the signal is almost completely lost, where as, if placed in a suitable elevated position the signal will be significantly improved. Once activated a A.C.F.R. will emit a very low frequency droning alpha wave, anyone with the engineering knowledge to track the relay would be able to ascertain it's location, and with some research, disable or tap into the signal.

Below is the whereabouts of each relay:
EK-01: Westfall Lighthouse, housed in roof
EK-02: Janeiro's Point, at foot of statue
EK-03: Rebel Camp, atop a sturdy palm
EK-04: Nethergarde Keep, atop keep roof
EK-05: Lakeshire, housed in clock tower roof
EK-06: Ironband's Excavation Site, atop arched structure
EK-07: Refuge Pointe, seated within a small cave overlooking RP
EK-08: Ambermill, housed in clock tower roof
EK-09: Aerie Peak, mounted on top of the great gryphon head
EK-10: Hinterlands, seated within a small cave overlooking the waterfall
EK-11: Tirisfal Glades, housed in Brill clock tower roof
EK-12: Quel'Lithien Lodge, housed in roof
EK-13: Quel'thalas, mounted on a roof within ruins of silvermoon
ACFR-ECHO 01 Stormwind: Mounted on Si:7 roof
ACFR-ECHO 02 Ironforge: Placed into a small disused room high within the mountain

OOC: By placing this intel here, we hope to bring some outdoor RP and possibly WPVP to the community, as when each
relay fails Si:7 will dispatch a team to repair or replace it. All we ask is that you tell use how you came across the unit and
what you did to it below. If you want some RP-WPVP using the relay scenario contact either <Visceril> or <Jayse> to arrange a time.

All hailing frequencies open! Sounds more like something the Gnomes would do, but I like the idea.
Question, if an engineer wants to tap into it, should he/she join a chat channel or something?

If someone/group clearly puts the IC research into tapping into the communications channel, then we can make arrangements sure for RP scenarios Smile

The nessicary GHI items will be provided.

great initiative! It opens up for a lot of conflict based RP and are a (somewhat) good explanation for IC guildchat.

Good luck with it, hope it turns out as well as I hope Smile

Gonna look into the state of these after the cataclysm. Then maybe use them for some RP.
A Horde crude goblin version is my thinking for Shattered Hand RP.
